Laminar Studios partnered with the client to convert an industrial warehouse into a state-of-the-art padel centre, maximizing the available space while creating a modern, functional environment. Our team carefully assessed the existing structure to ensure an optimal layout that would accommodate multiple courts, social spaces, and service areas without compromising flow or usability. One of the key challenges was transforming the large, open warehouse into a multi-zone facility. By strategically placing the courts along one side, we freed up space for a vibrant lounge and café area that encourages social interaction. The spacious seating zone provides a comfortable environment for both players and spectators, while the café and pro shop are positioned to serve as a central hub, ensuring ease of access and a natural circulation through the space. To further enhance the user experience, we incorporated high-top tables, casual seating, and open sightlines between the courts and social spaces. This approach not only optimized the warehouse's footprint but also created an inviting, open atmosphere where visitors can engage in the sport and relax afterward. Special attention was given to acoustic management and lighting to ensure that the environment is pleasant for both players on the court and those enjoying the social areas. The result is a versatile, well-optimized padel centre that seamlessly blends sport, leisure, and community.
